Well, my sister has done it again. Challenging all of us to go a little farther, be more introspective while at the same time be more conscious of our surroundings. I am struck by here intelligence and understanding of this life.

Anyhow, her challenge was to assign yourself a word during the year. So, here is my stab at it:

Finish

I’ve always had problems with starting things and then leaving them unfinished. My recent adventures include websites, business plans, graduate school, yard projects, house cleaning, shaving (I hate shaving), doing homework with my daughter, etc. I have just left things in the middle. Sometimes maybe I feel like I never have time for everything, so I just don’t finish anything. It makes me think of “finishing” a shot in soccer, which means to score. Or to “finish” a table, making it shimmer and shine. I want the feeling that comes with completing and setting aside a project. So, this year, 2007, I want to finish.
