I’ve had some interesting dreams lately so I wanted to share.

Saying No

One of the recent dreams I had was where I was just hanging out with an ex-girlfriend (yeah, not good from the beginning) and she started to make the “moves” on me. I was kind of upset and told her “no” and that I had a wife and children, and that they were more valuable to me than anything. I told her I didn’t want to sacrifice my life for a little bit of momentary pleasure.
The reason this is so interesting to me is because the situation was so clear in my head and I remember very distinctly what I said and how it felt.

Most of the time I forget my dreams as soon as I wake up, but this one stuck out. Also, I am very, very happy about me dreaming that I was able to thwart temptation and give her a swift and decisive “no!”.

Finding Ants

Well, this dream isn’t as cool as the first one, in my book anyway. I just happened to remember dreaming last night that I was pulling off the trim where our floor meets the wall in the southeast corner of our house and found the ant colony! We have a problem with those little black “odorous” house ants. You know, the ones you kill and then they smell pungent afterward? Well, I was excited to find the colony so I could kill all the larvae and get rid of the pests!

Well so much for my dreams. I’m glad I have them!
